• We made the decision to hire a Chef rather than a traditional caterer. We made this decision in order to create the freshest and most authentic food experience for our guests. That being said, all guests will experience the same 5 course tasting menu alongside family style appetizers.

    • Women should aim to wear solid color floor length dresses. The more GLAM the better!

  • Here are a few need to know tips when traveling to Italy.

    • Ensure your passport is up to date, and double check the expiration date!! Your passport can not expire within 90 days of your travel.

    • European outlets are different than American outlets. Ensure you purchase an outlet adaptor before your travel. Amazon option linked here.

    • The official voltage in Europe is 230 volts, compared to 120 volts in the US. Double check your electronics and hair tools to ensure they are compatible overseas.

    • Air-conditioning is not readily available in Europe. Making May, a perfect time to visit before the Summer Heat begins. Ensure you pack light airy clothes for the day, and cozy sweatshirts for night.

    • Italy is 6 hours ahead of the US EST. For example, 12pm is NY is 6pm in Central Italy.

    • Ubers and Lyfts are only readily available in major cities like Rome. Be sure to check if your destination is compatible with Ride Share companies when planning your travel.

    • Most credit cards will allow you to use your card without paying Foreign Exchange Fees. However, it's best to check-in with your credit card provider before traveling. It's also best practice to carry cash for your travel. You can visit your local bank or even stop by an exchange desk at your airport to covert your USD to euros before your flight.

  • We recommend taking a red-eye flight Thursday night, and depart Tuesday morning. This will allow you to travel and settle at your destination Friday and enjoy a relaxing day post wedding on Monday.

    Italy is 6 hours ahead. This means you lose time on the way there, but gain time on the way home. If you depart from Italy Tuesday morning, you will arrive back in the States Tuesday mid-day.

  • The nearest airport is Florence Airport (FLR). Siena is approximately a 1 hour drive from FLR Airport, or an hour and 20 minutes by train.

    If you are looking for a more direct flight time from NY, we recommend flying into Rome (FCO). Although Rome is approximately 2 hours and 30 minutes from our venue, this offers guests the opportunity to spend the day in Rome, visit the Colosseum and Trevi Fountain, before traveling to our Wedding accommodations .

  • Villa Cetinale is located a short 20 minutes from the town of Siena, Italy. Siena is located in the Providence of Tuscany.

    We recommend traveling into Siena for the day to have lunch and explore! Siena is absolutely stunning.

  • Although we love your kids, we are hosting an adults-only wedding.

    If you are looking to travel with kids, or can't leave them behind, we can provide you with a list of baby-sitting services provided to us by our villa.
